RESERVATIONS​​
​
Reservations are made through our website, which directs you to OpenTable. Availability is shown up to one year in advance, with bookings accepted for up to 10 guests. To preserve the intimate nature of our tea service, parties larger than 10 cannot be accommodated during regular hours. For larger celebrations, please see our Private Events page.
Sweet Marie’s is not responsible for duplicate reservations made under the same or different names. If duplicate bookings are not canceled within the required notice period, they will be treated as separate reservations and charged accordingly. To help avoid this, we kindly ask that you carefully review all reservation details and confirmations. When booking, please provide a cell phone number rather than a landline, and keep text message notifications enabled, as this is the quickest way to receive your confirmation and any updates to your reservation.
CANCELLATION POLICIES​

STANDARD RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Changes or cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a $40 fee per guest.

Changes to the guest count within 24 hours will be charged the Prix Fixe price per guest, including tax and service fees.

No-shows are charged $50 per guest, which covers the prepared tea service along with additional transaction fees, tax, and service fees.

LARGE GROUP CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Groups of 6 or more are considered a large group reservation. All of the above cancellation policies apply and require a minimum of 48 hours notice.

HOLIDAY & SPECIAL EVENT CANCELLATION POLICIES: ​

POLICY AGREEMENT

All cancellation policies must be acknowledged when booking through OpenTable, where guests confirm that they understand and agree to the terms before completing a reservation.

As a small business, these policies allow us to protect the quality of our service and the livelihood of our staff. We do our best to be as accommodating as possible, and kindly ask that any changes or cancellations are made within the required time frame.

​PRICING & PAYMENT​​​

Brunch and Afternoon tea services are priced at $38 per guest.

An 8% tax and a discretionary 20% service fee will be applied to your final bill, dedicated to supporting both our front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

We kindly ask that you review our website prior to your reservation for the most up to date information.

Additional fees may apply for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and combination menu modifications. ​​

We provide one check per table and are unable to split or itemize bills for individual guests. ​

Payment is accepted in full by either cash or credit card, and we cannot accommodate split payments between the two.

​​ MENU MODIFICATIONS
​
​We are happy to provide modified menus for common dietary needs, including vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and nut free options. While every effort is made to prepare these menus with care, please note that we are not a dedicated allergen free kitchen and cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens. At this time, we are unable to accommodate soy free or sesame free requests.
ADVANCE NOTICE: Requests for modified menus must be made at the time of booking or no later than 24 hours in advance. Please share details clearly (for example, “1 gluten free, 2 vegetarian, 1 dairy free”) so we can prepare accordingly.

DAY OF REQUESTS: We are unable to make modifications on the day of service. If no advance request has been provided, the traditional menu will be served and full payment will apply.

CUSTOMIZED MENUS: While we offer a variety of modified options, we are unable to create fully customized or ingredient specific menus. Guests are invited to select from the Prix Fixe menus available.

ADDITIONAL SELECTIONS: Afternoon tea is a Prix Fixe service with a set daily assortment prepared for the number of confirmed guests only. For this reason, we are unable to accept orders for additional food at the time of dining.

ALLERGEN NOTICE: Our menus may include or come into contact with tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, wheat, eggs, and berries. We also partner with local bakeries and vendors that use these ingredients. While our team is trained to take great care in handling allergen friendly items, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen free environment. If you have specific concerns, we encourage you to reach out to us in advance so we may guide you through the best options for your visit.

GENERAL INFORMATION

LOCATION: Historic Wickford Village - 7 Main St, North Kingstown, RI 02852
​
PARKING: Street parking is available on Main, West Main, and Brown Street, with additional parking in the nearby municipal lot just a short three minute walk away. We encourage guests to arrive early to allow time for parking and to enjoy the village.

ACCESSIBILITY: Guests with accessibility needs are welcome to use our side ramp for entry. Please note there is a small threshold lip at the doorway. If you would like assistance or have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance so we may ensure a comfortable visit.
​
ARRIVAL: We recommend arriving no sooner than 15 minutes before your reservation. Seating begins promptly at 9:55 AM, 11:55 AM, and 1:55 PM.
CHILDREN: Guests of all ages are welcome, and we kindly ask that children are prepared to enjoy a relaxed, seated tea experience. A children’s menu is available for ages 10 and under and must be requested in advance. All seats in the tea room are reserved at a Prix Fixe price, and we do not provide high chairs or booster seats. Infants in carriers or strollers are not charged, though we ask for advance notice if additional space is needed at your table.
For the comfort and safety of all guests, children must remain with an adult in their party at all times. We are unable to permit young children left unattended in any area of the restaurant, including the restroom. Thank you for your understanding.
ATTIRE: Guests are welcome to dress in a style that best suits their occasion, whether formal for a celebration or casual for a relaxed visit.

TAKEAWAY: Takeaway bags are provided for any menu items you wish to bring home. We do not offer takeaway boxes or hot cups.
​
GIFT CARDS: Gift cards are available for purchase at the tea cottage during business hours. At this time, we are not able to offer online purchasing or mailing of gift cards.
