SWEET MARIE

Marie Louise (Iacobucci) Sollars

The heart of our afternoon tea experience lies in the warmth of shared moments, inspired by our own. Sweet Marie’s Tea Cottage is named in honor of our grandmother, Marie Louise Iacobucci, a mother of five, “Gramsy” to thirteen grandchildren, and “Nonni” to six great-grandchildren. Marie was the heart of our family, every bit as sweet as her name. Her warmth, charm, and love for life’s simple pleasures inspired the creation of our tea cottage, a place where guests are welcomed with the same care and kindness she so generously shared.

Growing up, Sunday afternoons were often spent around Marie’s kitchen table, singing songs from generations past and lingering over a warm cup of tea. The simplicity of those afternoons, the kind you only come to recognize as extraordinary with time, continues to shape the experience we create for every guest.

Sweet Marie’s is a reflection of who we are, where we have been, and the story we continue to write. From the family photographs that line our walls to the thoughtful use of color, light, and sound, every detail is designed to feel familiar while offering something new to discover in each visit. Throughout the room, subtle touches honor our first home in the village, where Marie’s final birthday was celebrated with those who loved her most. Her bright smile shines here still, reminding us to lead with grace, compassion, and gratitude for every moment shared around a table.

At Sweet Marie’s, we believe a cup of tea can go a long way. Whether you are here to celebrate, reflect, or simply spend time with the ones you love, we thank you for allowing us and Marie to be part of your story.

With love,

Our family at Sweet Marie's Tea Cottage
