Marie Louise (Iacobucci) Sollars

“Sweet Marie”

Sweet Marie’s Tea Cottage is named in honor of our grandmother, Marie Louise Iacobucci, a mother of five, a “Gramsy” to thirteen grandchildren, and a “Nonni” to six great-grandchildren. Marie was the heart of our family, and she was every bit as sweet as her name. It was her warmth, charm, and love for life’s simple pleasures that inspired the start of our little Tea Cottage, a place where guests can feel the same comfort, joy, and care that she so generously shared.

Growing up, Sunday afternoons were spent gathered around Marie’s kitchen table, sharing stories, singing songs from generations past, and lingering over a hot cup of tea or two. The simplicity of those afternoons, the kind of moments you come to recognize as extraordinary with time, remains at the heart of Sweet Marie’s, and it is our hope to share that same feeling with every guest who joins us for tea.

The Tea Cottage stands as a reflection of who we are, where we have been, and the path ahead. From the family photos that line our walls, to the thoughtful use of color, light, and sound, every detail has been carefully chosen to evoke a sense of connection and remembrance. Marie’s bright smile still watches over us, a gentle reminder that kindness, grace, and compassion fill this room.

At Sweet Marie’s, we believe that a warm cup of tea can go a long way. Whether you’re here to celebrate, reflect, or simply spend time with the ones you love, we thank you for allowing us, and Marie, to be a part of your story.

With love,

Lindsey and our team at Sweet Marie’s Tea Cottage
